Philip Harnett Corboy, Jr. was interviewed by several newspapers regarding the "judicial hellhole" report issued by the American Tort Reform Association (ATRA).
In the Belleville News Democrat, in which Chief Judge John Baricevic said that the report will not influence the court, the paper reported that Corboy and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association does not hold the report in high regard. Corboy said ATRA is merely a front group for large corporate interests and the report "...is the same old same old just with different catch words, buzz words, cute words."
In the St. Louis Dispatch, Corboy said, "The report is just a Christmas gift for the insurance industry and the big business lobby."
