Corboy & Demetrio Client Dr. David Dao Pens Book about Immigrant Struggles

05.04.2021

We are proud of our client, Dr. David Dao, who has written “Dragged Off: Refusing to Give Up My Seat on the Way to the American Dream,” a timely book about his struggles and inspiring perseverance as an Asian American immigrant.

We are also appreciative of Dr. Dao’s quotes about us in his autobiography.

Dr. Dao notes in his book that Thomas Demetrio “had an extensive background in aviation law.  In fact, it was something of a coincidence that the best possible lawyer I could have hired to represent me happened to work in Chicago.”

Dr. Dao also states in his book:

“I could honestly fill an entire book listing Tom’s accomplishments as a lawyer.  He has repeatedly been cited as one of the best trial lawyers in the country.  He had served as president of the Chicago Bar Association.  His previous work in aviation law included trials and settlements in a number of plane and helicopter crashes, including the crashes that took the lives of Jim Croce and Stevie Ray Vaughan.  He’d also represented players (and their families) in suits against both the NHL and NFL involving concussion injuries.  Not only was I glad to have someone with his experience representing me, but I admired the man for the work  he did.”

Dr. Dao’s book is available on Amazon.
