$5 Million Settlement for Family of Patient Whose EKG was Misread

In 2024, plaintiff’s decedent, a 32-year-old male, presented to a suburban hospital with a history of heart disease and signs and symptoms of MI.  Plaintiff alleged an abnormal EKG was misread as normal and the decedent went into cardiac arrest and died.  He is survived by his wife.
