$1 Million Settlement for Failure to Diagnose Aortic Aneurysm in 75-year-old Patient
Corboy & Demetrio obtained a $1 million settlement for the wrongful death of a 75-year-old woman who was admitted to the emergency room with acute onset of severe sharp chest pain and pain to the back of her head. Despite those symptoms, the attending physician failed to diagnose her aortic aneurysm. She died a day after she was discharged of a ruptured aortic aneurysm.
