Thomas Demetrio to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award from Hellenic Bar Assoc. of IL
Corboy & Demetrio Co-founder Thomas A. Demetrio, who has attained a national reputation for representing plaintiffs in high-profile personal injury cases including the massive NFL concussion litigation, will be given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Hellenic Bar Association of Illinois.
“We as a bar organization are honored to pay tribute to Mr. Demetrio as not only one of the top trial lawyers in the nation who is based here in Chicago, but as a caring and generous member of the community who has done much to improve the lives of others,” said Thomas Massouras, President of the Hellenic Bar Association of Illinois.
Massouras will present the award to Thomas at its 65th Annual Scholarship Ball, which will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 6 PM at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Chicago. Each year, the HBA awards scholarships to worthy law students.
Other honorees at the event include Mariyana Spyropoulos, Board President of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Chicago, with a special tribute to her father, philanthropist Ted Spyropoulos; Paul Vallas, former CEO of Chicago Public Schools and recent Lt. Governor candidate; and the Assumption Church for “90 Acts of Kindness”.
