Aviation Attorney Thomas Demetrio Sees Similarities in Louisville UPS Cargo Plane Crash and American Airlines #191 Crash
Corboy & Demetrio Co-founder Thomas Demetrio, who served as Co-Lead Counsel in the Crash of American Airlines #191, on May 25, 1979, says:
“Sadly, the UPS crash appears to be a repeat of American Airlines #191 incident when a McDonnell Douglas DC-10 crashed 17 seconds after take-off at O’Hare Field, when an engine fell off a wing.”
Corboy & Demetrio represented the families of 26 passengers who died in that crash. A total of 271 people on board the plane and two people on the ground died. It remains the deadliest plane crash in U.S. aviation history.
