All Corboy & Demetrio Partners Named to 2019 Super Lawyers

All of Corboy & Demetrio’s partners have been named to 2019 Illinois Super Lawyers, with Philip Corboy, Jr. being named to the Top 100 for the eighth year and Thomas A. Demetrio being ranked the #1 Super Lawyer in Illinois for the third year in a row, the firm has announced.  

Six partners, including Thomas and Philip have earned a spot on the Illinois Super Lawyer’s list since the award’s inception in 2005.  They include: David R. Barry, Michael K. Demetrio, Francis Patrick Murphy, and Susan Schwartz.

Partner Daniel S. Kirschner was named an Illinois Super Lawyer for the eighth year; Partner Edward G. Willer was named for the for the seventh year; Managing Partner Kenneth T. Lumb and Partner Michell M. Kohut were named for the sixth year; and Partner William T. Gibbs was named for the fourth year.

No more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor each year. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

In addition, Corboy & Demetrio attorneys Andrew P. Stevens and Megan Fahey Monty were named to Rising Stars by Super Lawyers for the first time.  Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
