$2.3 Million Settlement in St. Clair County Demolition Death

Just prior to jury selection, a wrongful death action brought on behalf of a 22-year-old demolition worker settled for $2.3 million in St. Clair County, Illinois. Philip Harnett Corboy, Jr., and Edward Willer represented the estate of the young man. Kevin Auchter, a former student chef, was killed when a large chunk of concrete, which was jarred loose from within a concrete coal storage silo he was working on, fell on him. The concrete weighed between 40 - 70 tons.
