A record-setting Lake County verdict of $6 million was returned against an anesthesiologist for negligently causing the death of a 46 year-old wife and mother of 4 boys. The victim died on Thanksgiving, the 14th birthday of one of her sons. She was a homemaker and the caretaker of her husband who is legally blind.
