$2 Million Settlement for Mother's Post-Childbirth Death

After giving birth to a healthy girl at Evanston Hospital, the mother complained of a severe headache and stomach pain and tests revealed elevated blood pressure. It was several hours before she was taken for an MRI, during which she suffered a brain hemorrhage and died. Her estate, represented by Corboy & Demetrio, settled its lawsuit against the hospital and doctor for $2 million.
