Corboy & Demetrio’s Masters of Trial Law: The Notre Dame Connection
A shared University of Notre Dame background brought together the hosts and guest on the latest episode of Corboy & Demetrio’s video podcast, Masters of Trial Law, which deals with the epidemic of Concussions and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).
In Episode 6, Hosts and Equity Partners Bill Gibbs (ND Class of ‘97) and Ken Lumb (ND Class of ‘88) welcomed Dr. William Flavin (ND Class of ‘11), Assistant Professor of Neurology at UCLA, for an in-depth discussion on what is currently understood about CTE, how it develops, how concussions should be treated, and where research is headed.

Gibbs and Flavin even have a Notre Dame Football connection. Dr. Flavin played short snapper, while Gibbs played defensive back as walk-ons.
Gibbs and Flavin are also both on another Notre Dame team: The Concussion & CTE Foundation’s Race to End CTE, raising funds to support research and awareness efforts surrounding brain injury and the neurodegenerative disease.
Corboy & Demetrio Co-founder Thomas A. Demetrio also shares the special connection as a graduate of Notre Dame’s Class of 1969.
