Corboy & Demetrio honored with 2026 CBA President’s Circle Award
Corboy & Demetrio was honored with a CBA President’s Circle Award on May 21, 2026, from Chicago Bar Association President Judge Nichole C. Patton. The Award was given to C&D for its “exceptional generosity and steadfast support” of the CBA in the 2025-2026 bar term and as an expression of gratitude for Corboy & Demetrio’s commitment to the bar group’s mission and membership, according to the CBA.
Judge Patton presented the award to Corboy & Demetrio Equity Partner Ken Lumb in Corboy Hall at CBA headquarters. A portrait of Corboy & Demetrio Founder Philip H. Corboy hung on the wall behind the podium.
“It’s an extraordinary honor and we are grateful to Judge Patton for this recognition, ” Lumb said, who accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
“This firm’s commitment to supporting the Chicago Bar Association has never wavered because we recognize its significance to the Chicago legal community,” said Equity Partner William T. Gibbs, who will serve on the CBA Board of Managers for the next bar term.
The CBA was founded in 1874 and is one of the oldest and largest bar associations in the United States. The association was created under three principles: “to maintain the honor and dignity of the profession, to cultivate social intercourse among its members, and to increase its usefulness in promoting the administration of justice”.
Corboy & Demetrio is the only Chicago law firm from which four past Presidents served the Chicago Bar Association.
