Fourteen Corboy & Demetrio Attorneys Selected to 2026 IL Super Lawyers & Rising Stars
We are proud to announce that ten Corboy & Demetrio partners were selected to Illinois Super Lawyers for 2026, including Thomas A. Demetrio who is ranked in the “Top 5” for Personal Injury. Tom is also ranked in the 2026 “Top Ten,” overall, out of more than 95,000 attorneys in Illinois.
This is the 15th year that Tom has earned a spot on the IL Super Lawyers “Top Ten” list, first getting selected in 2011. Over the years on the “Top Ten,” he’s received a #1 ranking (six years) and a #2 ranking (five years).
Partner Philip Corboy, Jr. was named to the 2026 Super Lawyers “Top 100” for a 14th year and Partner Dan Kirschner joined Philip on the “Top 100” list for the first year. The Super Lawyers “Top 100” is out of every attorney in every practice area.
Partner Michelle Kohut was named to the elite “Top 50 Women Lawyers” by IL Super Lawyers for a third year in a row, out of female attorneys in every practice area in the entire state.
Other partners selected to 2026 Super Lawyers include William T. Gibbs, Chad D. Kasdin, Kenneth T. Lumb, Francis Patrick Murphy, Conrad C. Nowak, Daniel S. Kirschner, and Edward G. Willer.
Our Super Lawyer Rising Stars for 2026 include Michael D. Ditore, who’s earned a spot on the list seven years in a row, Mitchell W. Bild, Collin J. Gill, and Tommy Demetrio. No more than 2.5% of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive the Rising Star honor.
Super Lawyers is a ratings service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, according to Thomson Reuters, which publishes Super Lawyers.
