Corboy & Demetrio Supports Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans on Giving Tuesday
Corboy & Demetrio is proud to announce that we have selected the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans (MSHV) as our Giving Tuesday partner for 2025. Giving Tuesday—celebrated globally as a day of generosity and service—takes place this year on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. We are honored to support an organization whose mission so closely aligns with our commitment to helping those who have served our nation.
The Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans is dedicated to ending veteran homelessness by providing housing, supportive services, and employment assistance to local veterans and their families. Its programs include transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and specialized assistance designed to restore hope, dignity, and stability.
One of MSHV’s most impactful initiatives is its Freedom Commissary—a no-cost resource center that provides veterans and their families with essential clothing, household goods, personal hygiene products, and other day-to-day necessities. For many veterans taking critical steps toward independence, the Commissary plays a vital role in easing financial strain and ensuring dignity during life’s most challenging transitions.
Corboy & Demetrio was inspired to support MSHV on Giving Tuesday after a recent law firm campaign to pay tribute to U.S. Veterans. On Veterans Day, our employees came together to raise funds, purchase, and deliver much-needed items for MSHV’s Freedom Commissary.
Building on the spirit of that effort, we are honored to support MSHV for Giving Tuesday and extend our gratitude to all veterans, to the team at MSHV, and to everyone who supports its mission.
Corboy & Demetrio is proud to have three attorneys who are veterans: Co-Founder Thomas Demetrio, who served in the U.S. Army Reserves; Managing Partner Ken Lumb, who served as a captain in the Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps, and Partner Conrad Nowak, who served in a variety of units in the U.S. Army, including the 13th Infantry Regiment and 3rd BN, Military Intelligence Detachment, 12th Special Forces Group (ABN).
