Corboy & Demetrio obtains $6.5 Million Settlement in Medical Malpractice Case 

Corboy & Demetrio Managing Partner Ken Lumb and Partner Mike Ditore obtained a $6.5 million settlement for the estate of a 71-year-old man who fell at a block party and developed severe lower back pain.  He had a history of severe spinal arthritis, COPD, diabetes, and high blood pressure, and was admitted to a Chicagoland hospital for workup of his back pain.  Though he received x-rays that were read as negative, the plaintiff alleged a failure to perform advanced imaging for nearly three days, leading to paralysis from two undetected spinal fractures, spinal shock, and death.
