Lana Batochir, a victim of the boating incident in the “Playpen” area of Lake Michigan on Saturday, Aug. 13th, underwent the double amputation of her legs as a result of her feet being severed by the propeller of a boat.  The mother of two has completed a series of three surgeries, resulting in the amputation of her legs, 10 inches below her knees.

“Lana’s injuries are life-altering, and she has a long road ahead of her, but her family will be by her side every step of the way,” Ditore said.
