VH-1 “Rock of Love” Bus Crash Litigation

Corboy & Demetrio represented the estate of a college student who was a passenger in a car on Interstate 57 when it was struck by a truck transporting equipment for the VH-1 show, “Rock of Love with Brett Michaels.”  Corboy & Demetrio obtained a settlement of $6.5 million in a lawsuit filed against Viacom, VH-1 Music, 51 Minds Entertainment, and Dennis Hernandez who was the driver of the truck.  The plaintiff was attending Southern Illinois University, and both she and the driver of the car were killed when the “Rock of Love” truck crossed the center line.
