Corboy & Demetrio Files Suit on Behalf of Worker Crushed to Death at Blue Island Plant

01.2011

The law firm of Corboy & Demetrio today filed a lawsuit on behalf of the estate of Brian Fuller, age 48, who was killed while working on a Mac Truck at George J. Roll & Sons in Blue Island, Illinois. Attorneys Philip Harnett Corboy, Jr., and Edward G. Willer represent Mr. Fuller’s surviving family.

The complaint alleges that on February 22, 2010, Fuller was performing maintenance on a Mac Truck when the frame released from its elevated position, crashing onto Fuller and causing his death. The complaint also alleges that at the time of its design, manufacture and distribution, the fluid power components and systems, including the hydraulic pump and controls, were in an unreasonably dangerous condition, were improperly designed to be placed within the frame of the truck bed, and were not adequately guarded.

Mr. Fuller, a member of Teamsters Local 786, is survived by his wife and their two children.
