Corboy & Demetrio Attorney Andrew P. Stevens Named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch
Corboy & Demetrio is pleased to announce that Attorney Andrew P. Stevens has been selected for the inaugural 2021 Edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.
Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch recognizes attorneys who are earlier in their careers for their outstanding professional excellence in private practice in the United States, according to Best Lawyers.
"Best Lawyers was founded in 1981 with the purpose of recognizing extraordinary lawyers in private practice through an exhaustive peer-review process. Nearly 40 years later, we are proud to expand our scope, while maintaining the same methodology, to recognize a different demographic of talented and deserving lawyers in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch," said Phil Greer, CEO of Best Lawyers.
Lawyers recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch are divided by geographic region and practice areas. They are reviewed by their peers on the basis of professional expertise.
Andrew Stevens was selected to the elite group in the area of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. He joined Corboy & Demetrio as a lawyer in 2016 and practices in all areas of personal injury law including aviation and environmental negligence.
Andrew served as Head Law Clerk and Post Graduate Clerk at Corboy & Demetrio from 2013-2015, and before returning to the firm as an attorney, served as a Law Clerk to Cook County Circuit Judge James N. O’Hara.
“I am beyond honored to be recognized by my peers and by Best Lawyers,” Andrew P. Stevens said. “Any recognition I receive is directly attributable to the training I’ve received during my career from my outstanding and experienced mentors, Thomas Demetrio and Judge O’Hara,” Stevens added.
In 2020, Andrew was selected to Illinois Rising Stars for the second year in a row by Super Lawyers, an honor given to no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state. He was also selected to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 for 2020.
Since 2017, Andrew has been selected to Illinois Emerging Lawyers by Leading Lawyers, an honor given to less than 2 percent of Illinois lawyers.
