$2.15 Million in Porch-Deck Railing Collapse Case
Corboy & Demetrio Partner Francis Patrick Murphy, a trial lawyer with extensive experience in porch and deck collapse cases, obtained a $2.15 settlement for a couple against the owners of an apartment building for the injuries they sustained when they fell four stories after a porch railing collapsed. The couple were standing on the outside back porch of an apartment building leaning against the wooden guard rail when the rail pulled away from the porch frame and they fell to the ground. Patrick has represented many victims of porch and deck collapses, including several victims of the Lincoln Park porch collapse and the victim of a deck collapse in Cary, Illinois.
