Elderly Woman Injured in Blue Line Derailment Settles for $1.25 Million

An 83 year-old woman who suffered serious injuries while trying to evacuate a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train after a derailment in 2006 settled her lawsuit for $1.25 million. Her case was the first settlement of the 65 lawsuits filed by Corboy & Demetrio in the derailment. She and all other clients are represented by attorney Daniel S. Kirschner.
