$1 Million for Estate of Cancer Patient in Medical Malpractice Case
Corboy & Demetrio obtained a settlement of $1 million for the estate of a patient of two doctors who were members of Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation and who were on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for the mis-diagnosis of low-grade adeno papillary carcinoma, which was really high grade. As a result, the surgeon did not remove the entire affected area and failed to place the patient on a course of radiation therapy to prevent recurrence of the tumor.
