April 29, 2008

On Tuesday, April 29, 2008, Judge Rita M. Novak of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division, issued an Order sought by attorney Michael K. Demetrio of the Corboy & Demetrio law firm, on behalf of Nicole Latimore, who was seriously injured at the Chinatown Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) station when a White Line Express, Ltd. semi tractor-trailer truck, driven by Don Wells, plowed into the station on Friday, April 25, 2008.

The Court Order allows Corboy & Demetrio to issue subpoenas to both the Chicago Police Department and the Chicago Transit Authority for the production of critical evidence.

Demetrio stated:

It is imperative that we secure any and all records and information pertaining to this horrific collision in order to properly protect the legal rights and interests of Ms. Latimore and other victims.

Today’s Order, agreed to by White Line’s legal team, will ensure that all victims and parties involved in this disaster will have access to all critical physical evidence and records.
