15 Corboy & Demetrio Attorneys Honored in 2010 Super Lawyers Edition

All twelve partners at Corboy & Demetrio have been recognized as top Illinois attorneys for 2010 by Super Lawyers, a nationally recognized directory of outstanding attorneys. In addition, three young lawyers at the firm have been selected as Illinois Rising Stars. Of all the Illinois personal injury law firms, Corboy & Demetrio has the distinction of having the highest number of attorneys recognized.

Since its inception, all twelve partners have been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers list. They are David Barry, Jr., Robert Bingle, Barry Chafetz, Philip Corboy, Philip Harnett Corboy, Jr., Michael Demetrio, Thomas Demetrio, Shawn Kasserman, Daniel Kotin, Francis Patrick Murphy, Susan Schwartz and René Torrado, Jr. Two of the twelve attorneys, Philip Harnett Corboy, Jr., and Thomas Demetrio, were recognized as two of the top 100 attorneys in Illinois. Three young Chicago personal injury lawyers at the firm, William Gibbs, Daniel Kirschner and Michelle Kohut, were named to the Rising Stars list this year.

Super Lawyers identifies attorneys in each state who receive the highest point totals, as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics magazine.  No more than five percent of the lawyers in each state may be selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers. The aim of the selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and sophisticated consumers in the search for legal counsel.

The Illinois Rising Stars selections are based on nominations by members of the Illinois Super Lawyers list. Rising Stars are the up-and-coming Illinois attorneys who are 40 or younger or have been in practice for fewer than 10 years.
