Corboy & Demetrio Attorneys, Lead Counsel for Metra Rock Island Derailment Case, Appear in Court for Status Hearing

Corboy & Demetrio attorneys, lead counsel and attorneys for 34 plaintiffs in civil cases arising out of the September 17, 2005 derailment on Metra’s Rock Island line, appeared in the Circuit Court of Cook County on April 28, 2008 for a status hearing on the Metra Rock Island derailment case.

Attorneys Daniel M. Kotin, Shawn S. Kasserman and William T. Gibbs were appointed by the Court to be lead counsel for all the cases arising out of the derailment. The firm  represents 34 plaintiffs that were aboard the Metra train and injured as a result of the collision. The firm’s representation includes two families who lost family members in the crash.
