Attorney Jenkins Elected Vice President of the Board of Directors for Center for Disability & Elder Law

Matthew T. Jenkins was elected Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Center for Disability & Elder Law.  CDEL is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and advancing the legal rights of low income persons with disabilities and senior citizens in Cook County, Illinois.

CDEL volunteer attorneys represent eligible clients in a broad range of civil legal matters, including landlord/tenant, guardianship, consumer fraud, wills and probate, government benefits and bankruptcy. The Center also offers single session clinics for clients. Presently, one clinic provides legal assistance in the preparation of Powers of Attorney and Living Wills and another gives financial advice on alternatives to bankruptcy.
