Shawn Kasserman Presents Check to Illinois Legal Aid Online
October 2009Partner Shawn Kasserman, on behalf of the Illinois Bar Foundation, the charitable affiliate of the Illinois State Bar Association, where he serves on the Board of Directors, recently presented a $20,000 grant check to Lisa Colpoys, Executive Director of Illinois Legal Aid Online.
The Illinois Bar Foundation's mission is to ensure meaningful access to the justice system, especially for those with limited means, and annually awards grants to organizations that support and promote that mission. This year the Foundation awarded over 32 grants totaling more than $300,000. Illinois Legal Aid Online operates three websites that provide online legal resources, information and assistance to low income Illinois residents and the lawyers who represent them.
