Corboy & Demetrio Legacy of Leadership
Corboy & Demetrio has a strong legacy of leadership at the CBA. Philip Corboy served as President from 1972 to 1973 and twenty years later, Tom Demetrio assumed the presidency. In 2003, Michael Demetrio, Tom’s brother became President - the first time in the CBA’s 103-year history that two brothers held the office. Corboy & Demetrio partner René Torrado, Jr., also served as CBA President, after having served as its general counsel from 1988 through 1995.
Upon his election, Dan said,
I’m honored to be elected to the Board of Managers and to serve with such a fine group of attorneys. Given the history of our firm with the Association, I’m also proud to be carrying on the tradition of service started so many years ago. I look forward to working with all the members to keep the CBA one of the best bar associations in the country.
